Synopsis:

Blueye is closely collaborating with class societies on the use of underwater drones as Remote Inspection Technology in relation to ship surveys. There is a strong push from class societies to reduce the need for surveyors to come onboard ships during inspections to make the whole classification industry more cost and time efficient.

Prior to that, as a Naval Architect, Leonardo designed and built RoRo, LNG and other cargo ships with Fincantieri and other shipyards, and participated in the design, acquisition, conversion of container terminals that range from small regional to multi-million TEU greenfield projects like the Hutchison Ports' Barcelona Europe South Terminal.
